An unfiltered, raw and reflective journey as a student paramedic in Scotland.

What even is a student paramedic?

A person studying a paramedic degree is more than just wanting to work in an ambulance.

That person is committing to a demanding and highly responsible educational journey where they must develop strong clinical knowledge, practical skills and the ability to make quick decisions in life-or-death situations.

Student paramedics learn how to assess patients, provide emergency treatment, and offer compassionate care in often unpredictable and high-pressure environments.

By providing this blog, it can can give you an insight into what life really is like during this degree.

Why did I create a blog?

Reflecting upon practice is an essential process by which we can question, make sense of, clarify, and develop our knowledge and performance as clinicians (Turner, 2015)

By creating a blog, I can not only reflect my own learning, but I can inform you of my journey so that you can relate to it, or if you want to know what a student actually experiences.

Following me on TikTok helps me inspire other students.
